Well, if your into working out, lifting weights, playing sports, etc... then you know how important it is
to keep an adequate supply of protein in your body. Over the years, I have tried a bunch of different protein
brands. There are Soy proteins, casein proteins, hemp proteins, whey proteins, whey proteins with creatine, etc...
Personally, I prefer a good whey protein though but I hate most of the extra stuff that comes with it. That is why Blue Bonnet's Whey Protein Isolate is so special!

The Whey Protein Isolate by Bluebonnet is free of egg, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat and soybeans! On top of that, it is made with stevia extract and not SUGAR or ASPARTAME or SUCRALOSE!!! This is almost unprecedented these days! Bluebonnet has gone out of their way to provide us with a great quality product. So here's my general review of the product:

The Good-

Great Ingredients! No artificial colors or sweetners!
Vegetarian and Vegan Friendly!
26g of protein per scoop!
Mixes well and taste pretty good too!
Not treated with rBGH
Variety of flavors (vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, mixed berry)

The Bad-

The cost! Varies from $26.00 to 36.00 for a 1lb container
The cost!
hmm,
It would be awesome if their was creatine included but
that's just wishful thinking...

Summary

This is a great product which I def recommend. I wish the cost could be a little lower but I understand that quality products cost more money so I don't have too much of a problem with that. Most of those other artificial sweetners have been linked to cancer and sugar is bad in its own right so I am pleased with the use of stevia here. Typically, I prefer to blend my protein with fruits and juice but I have drunk this with just water and it was still palatable. You can find this brand at most health food shops especially Wholefoods. Additionally, if you are interested in purchasing online, you can clink on my link "my amazon store" and it will take you straight to a vendor! Do these dvds keep your attention or keep you motivated enough to keep coming back? I enjoyed both of these programs but just can't make myself complete another round for some reason. I might do a few days, maybe even a week but I just don't have the desire to stay with the program. So I was wondering, is it just me? OR do you feel like I feel? If so, what are you doing to stay active and stay fit in lieu of the dads? Thanks for watching!

The most I have ever done was 15 and that was maybe about a year ago. After taking a long time off due to work and other obligations most of my strength had disappeared. When I did make it back to the pullup bar, I could only do about 7. 10 is the average in my opinion that everyman should be able to do at will. With that being said, I set out to become better than ever.
I found a program on the internet along time ago that promised to get your pullup max up to about 20 pullups. Even if you can only do 1 or 2, it is supposed to systematically build your strength to the point where you can pop out 20! Well, we all know that it takes hard work and there is no magic formula but 3 weeks into it I am definitely seeing progress.
Here are my daily results so far:
Week1 pu/cu
Mon- 18/18
Wed- 19/19
Fri- 20/27
Week 2
Mon- 21/24
Wed- 21/33
Fri- 24/41
Week 3
Mon- 30/42
These are after 5 sets. The first side is pullups, the second is chinups.
Not the greatest numbers yet but as you can see, steady progress. Every set is getting better. I will do a max-out at the end of the week to determine where I am in my quest!

I just restarted working out again about 3 weeks ago. My workouts have been going pretty good but I was ready to kick it into another gear. Fastforward to NOS Concentrate.
Supplements and things of that nature have never been the type of stuff I was into.
Coming from the collegiate athlete background, I always did my best to be all natural. Hell, I didn't even take creatine while I was competing. Maybe a multivitamin here and there and a protein shake at the most.
The reviews on various sites have been a mixed can of worms, some people love it, other people claim they felt like they were about to have a heart attack! I mean, I want a good workout but I don't want to die! lol...
Well here goes, I took one scoop preworkout just to see how my body would tolerant the new stimulus. I hopped on my bike to do my warmup ride and thought,"man this is some bull...I don't feel a thing." About 15minutes later, in the middle of my warm-up sets of squats I decided I would add a few more lbs then normal. Still waiting for the sudden rush of adrenaline and power, I just didn't feel it. I was thinking, maybe I should have taken two scoops. However, rep after rep, exercise after exercise, set after set, I was still going strong! Pushing more weight than normal, and honestly feeling like a mini BEAST. I began to think, DAMN, this was not even 2 scoops (the recommended dosage!)
After my workout was over, I didn't feel any of the jitters or pounding heart people were complaining about. Honestly, I haven't felt anything unsettling as of yet. I am trying to decide if I will increase the dosage next week from 1 scoop to 2 but I must say, I think this is a sufficient dosage as of now.
Monday is my upperbody workout so I can't wait to see how I feel during that workout.
I may increase the dosage to 1.5 scoops but I will probably stay in that range. So far, I am glad I tried this stuff out. If I feel anything bad, I'll be sure to write about it.Yah's childhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00394160523314913672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358907764387600865.post-87672408475538222672012-05-12T18:45:00.001-07:002012-05-12T18:57:04.858-07:00MSG and Aspartame: Two dangerous flavorful poisonsDo you suffer from headaches, the inability to concentrate, brain tumors, or cancer? MSG and Aspartame poisoning in the body is probably responsible. I have listed a few symptons that have been linked to these two toxins but that list is drastically abbreviated for brevity sake. The sad thing about it is that these toxins are included into almost every "good tasting" food on your grocery store shelves. I can't help but wonder why these additives are allowed into our foods but then again "Money answereth all things!"
I could set her and write a long article on this subject but I will post a few clips that I think do a great job of explaining the issues in detail. One is a quick video from one of my youtube posts and the second is a movie entitled
Aspartame: Sweet Misery- A Poisoned World.
Do yourself a favor and watch this information! It may save you or one of your loved ones from a lot of suffering in the future.

This topic is so twisted in my mind these days. It seems like no matter what church I go to, I just can't find a good fit.
And before you say, "Well brother, there is no perfect church!" I want to say, "I am not even looking for a perfect church!", I just want one where it follows the Bible and challenges me to be a better person. These days everyone wants to preach, "name it and claim", "It's your season", "Money cometh", "The check is in the mail" etc...
It's funny but I swear some pastors don't even mention Jesus in the sermon anymore.

-My background-
I came from a Catholic Background. My whole family is majority Catholic and I have an almost limitless collection of memories about my deceased grandmother either praying the rosary or trying to go to every mass available. There was a room in her house with nothing but saint pictures, rosaries and saint statues. As far as being a devout Catholic goes, she was as die hard as it gets. That being said, her influence on the family was very strong and goes without saying. In my mind, none of us would ever come close to the level of Catholic she was, but we all tried to be good Catholics.
When I went to college, my girlfriend started to question some of the Catholic traditions that we practiced. In particular, the limitless devotion Catholics have toward Mary. In my mind however, I didn't see anything wrong with praying to Mary or the "Saints" and I tried to dismiss her arguments and viewpoints as best I could. Overtime, her wanting to be a supportive girlfriend and not cause any strife between us, backed off.
That Christmas she gave me a Bible! I was like cool, It was a King James version bounded in black leather with small print just like I like it. This was the first time I ever really read a King James version Bible aside from my many attempts to understand the Book of Revelation.

-The Change-
It's not like I had an overnight Epiphany or Saul/Paul moment, but I would read a little here and a little there. More and more I began to get consumed with the WORD. However, as I would read, I would notice the Bible would instruct us not to do certain practices that were specifically practiced in the Catholic Religion. Long story short, I left the Catholic church and really have never looked back regardless of what my family thinks or thought.

-The Right Church-
My girlfriend and I started attending a Full Gospel Baptist church for a while. I must say, the music was much better than I experience in the Catholic church. The messages were always uplifting and inspiring but the service was just so long! Lol, coming from the Catholic church most of the time 45mins and you were OUT OF THERE! 1 hour 15 at best, but here, things didn't even get good until about an hour into it.Ah well, I enjoyed it so I guess that was just a little price to pay.
As more time passed by, something in my gut began to tell me this would never be the church for me. The Pastor was young, flashy and hip and slowly I began to hear numerous sources reporting about the indiscretions of the Pastor and other Leaders in that ministry. I wasn't too surprised with this Pastor's actions though so I simply moved to another church.
The next Pastor's ministry I set under a while seemed the exact opposite of the church I just left. Yes, they had the same "Spiritual Father", however their personalities couldn't be further from each other. This church was more family oriented and seemed a bit less showy. The new pastor seemed very humble. He was easily approachable and made a point to remember everyone's name. The church was growing at a moderate rate but everything still felt personal and genuine.
Over time, this church continued to grow into one of the premiere churches in the city. At the same time, it appeared to me that the Pastor's ego had grown the size of the congregation. This Pastor would always ask for money and call out people's names and how much they gave while collecting for the building fund. However he claimed this practice was based on Bible so I didn't question it. Time after time, friends and family members would visit the church and they would immediately be turned off by these practices but I still remained a loyal member.
The Pastor's wife was a big time promoter in the city as well. One of their big money makers was the Tyler Perry plays. I remember they would always say "Membership has it's privileges", because we would be able to buy tickets from them supposedly at a slight discount with better seat selection. However, it wasn't until I found out that they made money off of making sure a certain amount of seats were sold that my alarms went off. During that time I was also exposed to the ministries of two people that have ultimately remolded how I view church and most of these crooked pastors: Pastor Tony Smith and Pastor G. Craig Lewis.

-Where there is smoke there is fire-
Youtube is an amazing vessel. It reminds me of the Matrix because you can literally see and learn just about anything on there. I don't remember what specifically brought me to Pastor Smith's videos but I remember thinking this guy was off of his rocker. He clips were amazingly funny and controversial however the more I would listen to him preach, the more I would get convicted and think he was right about alot of things. "Why don't these pastors preach about hell and sin? Why are these messages seemingly only about the money? Why isn't anyone teaching about living the Holy life?" Then one day, he made a comment about these pastors playing Jesus in the Easter plays and things of that nature. This hit home because I used to play JESUS for years in the local Passion of Christ play we did at the church. And for those years people in the church would refer to me as Jesus and alot of the younger kids actually believed I was Jesus!!! I know Hindsight is 20/20 but that is not cool, and something is wrong with that. The Bible tells us not to make graven images or create/worship images of His likeness. So I could immediately see the wisdom of this scripture come to life. Yes, I am a follower of Christ and I try to be a good dude but I have many flaws and I fall far short of His Majesty and grace. I was beginning to be torn apart.

-The Truth Behind Hiphop-
Pastor G. Craige Lewis' (Exministries) truth behind hip hop dvds were the knockout blow. As I watched these dvds I felt I had learned so much. So many questions I had began to make sense. Pastor Lewis talked about the influence music has on one's spirit, the illuminati, demons, the influence of the world on the church, why hip hop should not be let into the church, etc... In my spirit I knew, I had to give these dvds my Pastor. In my spirit, I felt God warn me that he wouldn't be very receptive to these dvds because alot of the stuff talked about came down my Pastor's street. However, I never would have thought that would have been the beginning of the end of my time under that ministry. As a Christian, I felt iron is supposed to sharpen iron however when I asked him what he thought about the dvds all he could say was that he didn't agree with somethings and that people always have something to say about stuff. And instead of engaging me in a direct conversation about the issues and discussing the topics atlength, he chose a New Years Eve service to make a comment in passing from the pulpit which I felt was directed at me. Later, the youth group came up to perform a "holy" hiphop song but NONE of the youth in the congregation were feeling it. They looked bored and just stared at the guys waiting for the performance to end. It was as if the Truth Behind Hip Hop message about keeping the hip hop out of the church had just been confirmed!
After I left that church, I began hearing that the majority of the old members including leadership had moved on as well. Many marriages are struggling and falling apart there but the main priority seemed aimed at buying property and increasing membership. I could go on and on about the problems at this church but it isn't necessary, I just can't help but wonder, did the Pastor change with the church's growth? Or was he always showing his hand and I was just too blind to see it?

-I guess I'll keep looking-
Either way, that was the last church I belonged too. As I have matured as a Christian, I simply can not go back to the same foolish I have come from under. Time and time again, we try new churches but if the Pastor and First Lady aren't singing beyonce' or begging for all of your money, they are preaching the same old season, harvest, blessing, check in the mail messages you see on the tv everyday. I look at a lot of these pastors as nothing more than MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKERS!
If you want to be a motivational speaker that is fine, but please, please, say that from the beginning. Personally, I want to be taught the Bible. Teach me something I don't know. Apply the word to current events. Break down the Book of Revelations. Talk about the Return of Christ. Challenge me to be a better father, a better person Don't call yourself a prophet if you are only saying "The money is coming." The Prophets from the Bible spoke warnings to the people.
Personally, I am tired of seeing these pastors manipulate their sheep. I am tired of the pimps in the pulpit. I am tired of the child molesting, sleeping with every woman and/or man in here, pastors and bishops. Yes, no man is perfect but there was a time when being a man of God was supposed to mean something. I guess until I can find what I need I'll continue to listen to the True Church Perspective by G. Craige Lewis. Atleast this brother is sincere, follows God, and I can truly say challenges me to do better. Now if I can only find that here...

Sorry to type so much, I guess this had been building up inside me for a while.
-Just my 2 CentsYah's childhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00394160523314913672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358907764387600865.post-24625992795845666922012-03-16T20:45:00.003-07:002012-03-16T21:22:56.134-07:00Upgrade 2012Hello everyone,

I have been away from the blog for a while and finally decided I would make a return.
You will notice a slightly new design which I hope will bring some organization and enhance your viewing experience here. Nine-year-old "Iowa children who lived in communities where the water was fluoridated were 50 percent more likely to have mild fluorosis... than [nine-year-old] children living in nonfluoridated areas of the state," writes Fagin.

The study adds to a growing literature of shocking scientific studies proving fluoride's link with all manner of health defects, even as governments in the west, including recently the UK, make plans to mass medicate the population against their will with this deadly toxin.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PRISON PLANET.TV NEW YEARS SPECIAL - IT'S BACK!
Subscribe today for just $39.95 and get the equivalent of 5 months free!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In 2005, a study conducted at the Harvard School of Dental Health found that fluoride in tap water directly contributes to causing bone cancer in young boys.

"New American research suggests that boys exposed to fluoride between the ages of five and 10 will suffer an increased rate of osteosarcoma - bone cancer - between the ages of 10 and 19," according to a London Observer article about the study.

Based on the findings of the study, the respected Environmental Working Group lobbied to have fluoride in tap water be added to the US government's classified list of substances known or anticipated to cause cancer in humans.

Cancer rates in the U.S. have skyrocketed with one in three people now contracting the disease at some stage in their life.

The link to bone cancer has also been discovered by other scientists, but a controversy ensued after it emerged that Harvard Professor Chester Douglass, who downplayed the connection in his final report, was in fact editor-in-chief of The Colgate Oral Health Report, a quarterly newsletter funded by Colgate-Palmolive Co., which makes fluoridated toothpaste.

An August 2006 Chinese study found that fluoride in drinking water damages children's liver and kidney functions.

FACTS ABOUT FLUORIDE

- Fluoride is a waste by-product of the fertilizer and aluminum industry and it's also a Part II Poison under the UK Poisons Act 1972.

- Fluoride is one of the basic ingredients in both PROZAC (FLUoxetene Hydrochloride) and Sarin nerve gas (Isopropyl-Methyl-Phosphoryl FLUoride).

- USAF Major George R. However, I am a student of life and over the years my studies have and are continually leading me to the conclusion that diet and proper exercise can heal the majority of all illnesses.

Processed foods are not your friend! Fried foods are not your friend! Diet soft drinks do more harm than good, and milk is not your friend either. Anything made of aspartame, and/or artificial sweetners (such as nutrasweet) are feeding the cancer cells and doing more harm than good.

Your body is a living organism so it is imperative that you feed it living foods. Fruits, vegetables, soaked nuts, and most importantly WATER are all vital for your survival.

A recent survey states 1 out of 2 men will get cancer and 1 out of 3 women will get cancer as well!!! Are you seeing this!? These numbers are alarming to say the least, especially when you consider that cancer was something that was fairly non-existant about 50 years ago. There are many many causes in our technologically advanced new world but one thing remains constant, Cancer can not exist in an alkaline environment.

Chemotherapy, and radiation are not necessities! Your body is made to heal itself!
Listen to this interview which goes into great detail on how to fight cancer, build your immune system and get you on the right track.

If you have cancer, don't be scared. A positive mind is the beginning of the victory.
The following is an interview with Dr. Leonard Coldwell on coast to coast. I hope it helps someone!!!

Yah's childhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00394160523314913672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358907764387600865.post-14721034065031243412010-08-24T16:52:00.000-07:002010-08-24T16:54:55.470-07:00Exercises, Exercises, Exercises...This site is a great site that demonstrates how to properly do olympic lifts and
other weightlifting exercises. Well this time I'm going to address Soy. Over the last few years, soy has been hailed as the new super food. You can get it everywhere, soy milk, tofu, soysauce, edamame, soynuts, etc...Soy has been praised as being able to fight cancer, help aid hotflashes plus more. And soy is probably capable of these wonderful things in small quantities however the problem is the average person is getting way too much of this in there systems and don't even realize it.

Soy or soy biproducts are easy to cultivate and thus are used in pretty much every product on the typical grocery store shelf. From chips to cookies, there are some type of soy letichin, soy protein, soy emulsifier, etc... used in the production of that goods. Moreover, the soybean has recently become one of the leading products being harvested as a GMO crop!

Now lets look at the reasons I am opposed to the magic "soy" bean!

Soy contains the following: GOITROGENS- These can decrease thyroid function and increase the possibility of depression.

HEMAGLUTININS- These can increase the likelihood of our redblood cells clumping together which can compromise blood flow and circulation in our systems( even to our brain)

PHYTATES- These can decrease mineral absorption, including absorption of the minerals calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc.

PHYTOESTROGENS- These can be productive or disasterous! They can be preventative of breast cancer in those who haven't reached menopause
BUT,
they can increase the rate of tumor growth in women who already been diagnosed with estrogen dependent breast cancer.

Soybeans/ soy products have a substance that also mimics estrogen which is not beneficial for males!

With that being said, I use to be the #1 advocate for SOY MILK! Not anymore, if you want a good milk substitute, go with Almond Milk, Rice Milk, or Cashew Milk. These all taste pretty good and I don't really notice a difference. I haven't tried Hemp just yet but alot of people are jumping on that band wagon as well.

Maybe I'm a bit of a fanatic but always check the labels, if the product you are buying is made of some type of soy or soy biproduct, look for a substitute or just don't get it. TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE DYING OF STRANGE CANCERS AND STRANGE SICKNESSES!!!
Always try to buy organic and stay away from GMO foods.

Thanks for reading and remember "Health is Wealth!"Yah's childhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00394160523314913672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358907764387600865.post-20027219452923434062010-03-29T19:48:00.000-07:002010-03-29T20:51:51.343-07:00Aspartame!! Sweet Poison! Watch what you eat!My question is a simple one. Why is aspartame included in almost all of our chewing gums and candies! I remember a time when gum was not made with this junk however now
almost 9 out of every ten gums are made with Aspartame. Now let's go past the gum,
as I started to notice a trend in the gums I began to analyze candies, diet drinks, soft drinks etc. Looks like Aspartame has become the new sweetner of choice. Similar to
Equal, and Nutrasweet- this is another sugar substitute with the potential to cause severe adverse effects! How is this stuff even aloud to be placed in our food? Did you know Aspartame was once used as a RAT POISON!!??

The following link shows an article that goes into a bit more detail of how Aspartame is produced with Genetically Modified Bacteria!

http://www.mindfully.org/GE/Aspartame-GM-Bacteria.htm

According to the following article( http://www.sweetpoison.com/aspartame-sweeteners.html ), short term side effects are as follows:
Headache, mood changes, dizziness, manic episodes, panic attacks, seizures etc...

This should not be surprising. I have included another article for your edutainment.
http://www.dorway.com/betty/olney.html

In this day, we literally perish for lack of knowledge. What we don't know about the foods we eat can and does (CANCER) kill us!Yah's childhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00394160523314913672noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358907764387600865.post-24782761654490345592010-03-06T18:25:00.000-08:002010-03-06T18:33:51.986-08:00Scrubs- I really like this showOk I'm one of the few people left without digital tv. Thus, I am limited to UPN and an endless supply of random dvds. Just so happens as I was going through some of my brother in law's old dvds I found seasons 5 and 6 of scrubs. Now, I have seen this show once or twice before but it never really caught my attention as a "good" show.
However, with most of my dvds already been seen atleast 1 time already I figured I would check out these dvds. Man, I guess I had been missing out. This show is funny as hell to me. Yes I am easily amused but I must say the episodes are pretty dang good.

If you haven't seen it before or never wanted to give it a chance, check it out.
Dr. Cox's sarcasm is legendary. And Turk and JD are silly as hell. The Hetero-Gay
relationship they have is throwed off as in every sense of the word.

Long story short. SHRUBS makes you really wonder what goes on behind the scenes at a hospital. Ok, I know this is a made for TV show but it entertains me just a bit more
than E.R.

ok I'm done...Yah's childhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00394160523314913672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358907764387600865.post-72253859598001784652010-03-01T23:07:00.000-08:002010-03-01T23:18:24.280-08:00Going into week 8 of p90xOk, I must say I'm at a bitter sweet point. I am getting stronger definitely. I have reincorporated pullups into my routine so I have noticed a change already in the amount of energy I exert in my workouts. However, I have been pretty lenient on the diet portion so I am not seeing that 8 pack I was hoping for just yet ;o)

Tomorrow makes the beginning of week 8 so I will start getting my nutrition aka healthy living aka diet into a more strict form. Don't get me wrong, I am seeing
results but as we live in this microwave society, I have gotten acustomed to waiting
things faster without much effort. However, as we all know, faster does not always mean better.

Anyway, I can't wait to see what the next few weeks have to offer!

The following video offers some tips that I feel will help you get the most out of your p90x routine.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqMnk-rCaPA
Yah's childhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00394160523314913672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358907764387600865.post-39206342301834545792010-02-19T23:12:00.000-08:002010-02-19T23:32:29.409-08:00Sometimes a fast is what the body needs!Well, I don't know about you but I have to be honest with you. I don't always put the best food into my body. Between the fast food and junk food we put into our bodies willingly and the additional toxins that our bodies deal with from the pollutants in our society, we really need to flush out our systems from time to time.

For me, I decided I'm going to do another four day water fast! I have done fasts before and trust me they do not kill you. You actually feel a great sense of accomplishment when the fast is completed because you have taken control of your body. This really helps to increase your confidence and willpower. (This will also help drop a few quick pounds in weight)

During this fasting period, your body is able to flush toxins out, and actually try to repair itself. I have heard stories of people going 15-40 days with no problem at all. As a matter of fact, they say at about day 15 you begin to have a mental clarity that was lacking before. One day I will actually try this myself but that is not that day. It is believed that after 4 days of fasting, the healing process actually begins in the body. Trust me, whether your dealing with Diabetes, high blood pressure, or pretty much any other ailment out there, a fast can help you!

Jesus even told us when we fast how to do so. Notice HE said when not if! A fast is not just something for people on a spiritual journey. It is a method to let your body recuperate. It is during this time that our bodies can fully restore themselves as it does not have to focus on the digestion process. Maybe you should try one also, let me know how it works out!

PeaceYah's childhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00394160523314913672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358907764387600865.post-57315392001939413502010-02-05T21:23:00.000-08:002010-02-05T21:26:29.067-08:00Who dat say they gon beat dem saints!I love this video so I figured I'd share...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evf2z_gFY_g

Yah's childhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00394160523314913672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358907764387600865.post-27245090524462272492010-02-03T13:26:00.000-08:002010-02-03T23:35:57.396-08:00Back on the p90x again- Week 4 results. As you can see from the earlier blogs, this is my second time on the program.
The first time I got to about week 7 and then work over took me and I didn't finish.
Fast forward...

Well, my wife and I have just started week 4 ( the recovery week).
I did core synergistics today and one of the first things we do is pushups!
I thought isn't this was a recovery week!? lol... Pushups are hard work too!

Anyway, the workout wasn't to0 bad. I really enjoy this program.
Having someone to do it with helps also because it keeps you motivated
and accountable.

As far as my current results are concerned...
I don't really feel like I have lost any weight or gained.
But I do look slimmer in the face and I am definitely getting stronger.
I have always been of a slim build and pretty athletic so that may be a factor
as well. I'll get on the scale at the end of the week and take some pictures
to document the progress though.

Until next time, keep pushing play
PeaceYah's childhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00394160523314913672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358907764387600865.post-64502485551066243072009-07-02T15:16:00.001-07:002009-07-02T15:25:18.733-07:00The P90X Journey- Phase 2Ok, I haven't been updating this thing like I first planned. I weighed myself about a week or two ago and I was at 207lbs. I think the protein shakes are leading me to gain weight and not lose. I am getting stronger not by leaps and bounds but by subtle changes. 2 extra reps here, 3-4 extra there. I believe I am in week 7 right now. I missed a few workouts last week so I will repeat this week again just to get a good week in. I work 10-12 hours a day so I don't stick to the diet much, however I do drink alot of water and try to keep the protein bars, and nuts around while I'm at work. Honestly, once the stomach sheds a bit of fat I will be pretty pleased. I have the outline of a sixpack but not the definition just yet. I have also started a two week detox to get rid of some of the junk in my body so hopefully that can shred a few lbs of fecal matter as well. If your on the p90x journey stay with it, nothing comes easy. You see inches before you see pounds. This is about being healthier, stronger, and more fit. Not just about trying to be sexy!
I'll try to start posting more pics, once I get a little better with photoshop. In my opinion, pictures are a better truth serum than the scale is.

Ya'll come back now...

MBYah's childhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00394160523314913672noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4358907764387600865.post-62563755782152751122009-06-07T16:00:00.000-07:002009-06-07T16:15:31.186-07:00The P90X Journey- phase 1Well, The first 3 weeks are in the books.

Its funny how fast your body adapts to a new workout regime. In week 1 I was struggling to do 4 pullups and maybe 20 pushups and I am doing much better right now. Physically, I am seeing slight changes in my stomach area but I have not really noticed too too much right now. However, I can say that I am more fit now excited about week 4. I may even start running a good 10-20 minutes on the treadmill 3 times a week. But that remains to be seen right now. I am not following the p90x diet but I am eating pretty well.Yah's childhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00394160523314913672noreply@blogger.com0
